Yes! If you're considering extensive dental treatment, we can help you gain early access to your superannuation funds to help you cover the cost of your treatment. Early super access can be ideal in these situations:

• You or at least one family member have superannuation funds
• You don't have personal health fund insurance
• It would be a financial hardship to cover the cost of your treatment with personal resources

Our team can help you with the paperwork for early super access while a SuperCare representative walks you through the rest of the process. You can contact our team for more information on early super access. 

Note: Accessing superannuation for dental treatment is subject to eligibility and approval by the relevant government agency. We can assist with the process, but approval is not guaranteed.

Depending on your health fund and level of dental cover, you may be eligible for a gap-free check-up and clean, meaning no out-of-pocket expense. Some patients may be eligible for one or two gap-free cleans per year, subject to their individual health fund benefits and annual limits.

If your fund isn’t listed above, you’re still welcome at our clinic. We accept all private health funds and can process your claim on the spot with HICAPS, so you only pay the gap. Our reception team can help you check your available benefits before your appointment.

Yes! We are open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, making it easier to schedule your dental appointments around work, school and family commitments. We are closed on Sundays.

During the week, we also offer late appointments until 7:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday and evening appointments tend to be popular, so we recommend booking ahead where possible.

If you have a dental emergency, call us as early in the day as you can and we will do our best to see you as soon as possible.

We recommend booking an orthodontic consultation so our team can assess your teeth and bite and talk you through the options that suit your needs. It’s never too late to start, as many of our orthodontic patients are adults.

The cost of a tooth extraction depends on how complex the procedure is, as some teeth are more difficult to remove than others. Factors that can affect the cost include:

• Whether the tooth can be removed simply or needs a surgical extraction
• Whether it is a wisdom tooth, particularly one that is impacted
• The number of teeth being removed

Yes! Our dentists can assess your wisdom teeth and determine whether removal is necessary. Dr Zaid Al-Dujaili has a particular interest in wisdom teeth and dental implants.

You may want to book an assessment if you notice:

• Pain or tenderness at the back of your mouth
• Swollen or inflamed gums around a partially erupted tooth
• Food getting trapped behind your back teeth
• Pressure or crowding near your back teeth

Depending on the complexity of the extraction, treatment may be performed in the dental chair or under general anaesthetic. A consultation and appropriate x-rays will help determine the best approach for you. After your procedure, your dentist will give you clear aftercare instructions to support healing.

Not all wisdom teeth need to be removed. If your wisdom teeth have come through fully, are positioned correctly and are not causing any issues, there may be no reason to extract them. The decision depends on what your dentist finds during your examination.

When Removal May Be Recommended

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a program provided by the Australian Government and administered through Medicare. It helps cover the cost of basic dental services for children aged 0 to 17 who are eligible. Under the program, each eligible child can receive up to $1,158 in benefits over two consecutive calendar years.

What Does the CDBS Cover?

The CDBS covers basic dental services including checkups, cleans, x-rays, fillings, extractions and root canal treatments. Orthodontic work, cosmetic dental services or hospital-based treatment are not covered.

CDBS Eligibility

Eligible children meet all of the following criteria:

• They are aged 0 to 17 for at least one day of the calendar year
• They are eligible for Medicare. 
• Your family receives certain Australian Government payments, such as Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant income support payment. 

At the beginning of each calendar year, Services Australia evaluates eligibility. If your child qualifies, you will receive a notification by post or through your myGov account. You can also check your child's eligibility and remaining balance through the Express Plus Medicare app or by calling Services Australia on 132 011.

Tooth implants have helped hundreds of patients; however, they require that the patient is in good general health and has enough healthy bone structure to successfully support the tooth implant. 

Making Dental Implants Accessible 

Our dentists use information gathered during an evaluation, like X-rays, an exam and photos of your smile, to determine if dental implants are right for your needs. If you're lacking enough healthy bone structure to support one or more dental implants, they may discuss options like a bone grafting procedure.

During a bone grafting procedure, natural or synthetic bone material is used to rebuild your jawbone so it can better support a tooth implant. After a few months of healing time, we can place your dental implants and restore your smile.
